Treatment options for every kind of smile
Beyond braces and Invisalign, we offer the technology and specialty treatments that make sure your plan fits your specific needs.
The iTero® Digital Impression System
Say goodbye to the goopy putty trays of old-school impressions. Our iTero® scanner is a compact, hand-held wand that captures a 3D digital impression of your teeth and gums in minutes.
It's more comfortable, more accurate, and lets you see your teeth instantly in 3D, which makes it a lot easier to talk through your treatment plan together. The scan can be stopped and restarted as many times as needed, with no mess and no do-overs.
Two-phase orthodontic treatment
Two-phase treatment combines early jaw guidance with a second round of tooth straightening, aiming for a result that stays stable for life.
Phase 1: Foundation
For children age 6 and up showing early jaw problems. The goal is to develop the jaw and establish a healthy bite relationship while a child's rapid growth makes it easier. Early correction can prevent the need to remove permanent teeth later, and sometimes avoids surgery altogether.
Phase 2: Finalizing the Smile
Once all permanent teeth have erupted, full braces go on for an average of 24 months to position each tooth precisely. Retainers then hold everything in place. Between phases, we check in about every six months to monitor growth.
Orthodontics for children and adults
Children
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first evaluation by age 7. Early treatment can guide jaw growth, regulate arch width, create room for permanent teeth, reduce the risk of impacted teeth, and address habits like thumb-sucking, often simplifying treatment down the road.
Adults
About one in five orthodontic patients is over age 21, and treatment works well at any age. Since adult jaws are done growing, care sometimes involves periodontal treatment alongside orthodontics, or in more significant cases, jaw surgery.
Surgical orthodontics
Surgical orthodontics, or orthognathic surgery, corrects significant jaw irregularities to improve how you chew, speak, and breathe, along with your facial profile. It's generally considered once jaw growth is complete, around age 16 for women and 18 for men.
Treatment typically spans 24–30 months. You'll wear braces before and after surgery; it's normal for your bite to look like it's temporarily getting worse in the lead-up, since the surgery itself is what brings everything into its final, correct position.
